Credit card verification for first time customers

As a first time customer we need to verify the card details provided by you.

It is a 3 step process.

  1. We charge your card small amount and inform you that we have charged a small amount, but we do not tell you how much we have charged.
  2. You have to ring your credit card provider or log on to their website and find out how much we have charged you.
  3. You ring or email us and let us know how much we have charged. If both figures tally, then we are happy to go ahead.  If figures do not tally or you cannot contact the card provider you have to pay by some other means (i.e Direct deposit , Cheque or Money order )

Why do we do that ?

In cases of fraud, credit card institutions will back-charge us the disputed transaction. We have to take legal action against the recipient of the goods to recover our loses. Only way for us to reduce the losses is to make sure credit card orders are placed only by credit card holder.

I know it is an in-convenience to our customers, but it is essential in the face of growing number of credit card truncations.
