WARRANTY STATEMENT Original issue date: 24- May 1999
  1. General warranty conditions  

1.1 Any physical damage will not be covered by warranty and the customer should handle, transport and store the computer or other parts in a way not to suffer physical damage.

1.2 Customers should use quality disks and consumable and any disks broken inside the drives will void the warranty. Broken disks or disks with stickers which may cause it rotate out of balance should not be used on any drive.

1.3 Warranty does not cover any other fees, charges, loss of income, damage to other equipment  or payment to third parties including cost of shipping back to us or cost of diagnostic by third parties. 

1.3b Items of less than $20 in value will carry only 3 months warranty.

1.4 Company may close once a year for long holiday period and customers have to wait until the company re-opens after holidays.

1.5 If any Government acts or legislation overrides the conditions in this warranty conditions, then such act or legislation takes precedence.

1.6  Delivery charges for warranty items is the responsibility of the customer.

2. Warranty for accessories 

2.1 All hardware except as in  clause 1.3 & 1.3b above carry a one year warranty from the date of sale unless stated otherwise. For software the warranty is as per manufacturer.

2.2 Extended warranty is available on some items like hard disks, CD ROMs, CD Writers, DVD drives and Motherboards at an extra fee paid at the time of purchase or you need to contact the manufacturer representative.

2.3 All devices including printers,  scanners, modems and monitors and also some internal devices where there is a separate warranty card or Australian contact number in the documentation provided customer has contact the manufacturer or importer for warranty. (In case you cannot get help from the manufacturer or importer we will help you)

2.4 Devices which are not covered as above you have to contact us on - 03 - 9749 8111. or email us on  help@flexisoft.com.au

2.5 Devices which are found to be not faulty on testing  may incur a labour charge of $ 30 minimum.

2.6 Items shall be packaged properly before sending for warranty. We advice you to keep the original packing until the end of warranty period. (Especially for monitors ). If no proper packaging is provided it may incur a packaging fee.

2.7 Customers must maintain  an up to date virus scanner.  Any damage due to virus activity including damage to  motherboard BIOS and hard disk data is not covered by the warranty.

2.8 There is no warranty, money back or exchange for consumable items including ink cartridges, CD media, DVD media. We do not recommend or suggest they are suitable for the purpose they are made for..

Revision 1.1 dated 13th May 2000

  • Any damage due to shipping without proper packing is not covered by warranty. Customers must make sure fragile items are well packaged and marked on the outside with the word "FRAGILE"  on all sides.

Revision 1.2 dated 31th May 2001

  • If the original invoice or receipt is lost, we may still be able to help you by tracking the serial number from our database for expensive items, but we cannot verify the date of purchase.
  • In case the items are not found to be faulty, customers have to collect the item from our shop or pay the delivery charges in addition to any other labour charges.

Revision 1.3 dated 14- Aug 2001

  • Fragile and small items such as memory should be packed in a solid box or attached to some rigid plastic or wooden piece to avoid breaking during shipping.

Revision 1.4 dated 1st Sept 2002

  • Minimum labour charge for testing of a product not found to be faulty is changed to $40.

Revision 1.5 dated 22 Jan 2003

  • Extended warranty, which manufacturer or promoter provides  beyond the first 12 months is not handled by us. If you need us to handle that we do charge a nominal handling charge, which may vary from time to time

Revision 1.6 dated 06 June 2003

  • Number of Dead pixel (or deal spots ) will be allowed in the specification of the LCD monitors.  The monitor will not be replaced or repaired if that is under the limit specified by the manufacturer.

Warranty for computer systems

Should a defect in the product due to either faulty material or workmanship become apparent within the period of 12 or  24 months from the date of original purchase of the product such defect will be rectified without cost to you for either labour or material, at the premises of Authorised service centre(s) subject to:

1. Proof of purchase is provided by the way of an invoice or sales docket bearing the name of the person making the claim.

2. Damage was not resulting from incorrect installation of the computer, incorrect installation of external or internal peripherals , incorrect use or intentional damage by any person.

3. Any part of the system was not modified or altered in any way . This include any attempt to modify or alter the system.

4. Stickers are attached to the back cover and components for identification and to identify any attempt to disassemble the parts. The warranty becomes void if those stickers are damaged or removed.

5. Any attempt to disassemble the parts, move to another slot or position within the computer should not be done without expressed written permission from  (Flexisoft computers) Australian Best Computer Discounts pty ltd.

6. Warranty covers only hardware included with the system. Any other parts such as software or the data inside the computer will not be covered by  warranty.

7. Warranty is limited to replacement or repair of the hardware and will not cover damage to any other equipment used, loss of income or any other costs.

8. We cannot ensure the compatibility of the computer with any other products or parts supplied by other companies

9. External devices where there is a separate warranty card including printers and modems warranty is covered by the manufacturer

10.  Customers must maintain  an up to date virus scanner.  Any damage due to virus activity including damage to BIOS and data is not covered by the warranty.

  • Warranty for system is only 12 month from the date of invoice. The date of invoice will be the date when the system was ready for collection. (See revision 1.7 )

Revision 1.6 dated 06 June 2003

Revision 1.7  dated 01 Feb 2009 (Warranty )

  • Warranty for Quad Core computer systems extended to 24 months from the date of order with effect from 1st of Feb 2009.
  • Warranty for Core 2 Duo computer systems extended to 24 months from the date of order   with effect from 1st of March 2009.
