Windows Me Trouble shooting

Users of Windows ME (Millennium Edition) should be aware of a problem where infected floppy disks may be damaged by the "Resident" or "Real Time" components of Vet.

This problem applies only to Windows ME and we will provide a fix as soon as possible. There is no problem while scanning floppy disks with the "On-demand" scanner.

To avoid the problem, we recommend Windows ME users configure Vet as follows:

1. Select the "Options" menu in Vet and then select "Resident Protection"

2. Click on the "Floppy Boot Sectors" tab

3. Make sure the "Replace any boot sector considered bad" option is DISABLED

You will still be able to detect a boot sector virus on a floppy disk with the Resident Protection, but in the event you find a virus, you should only clean it with the On-demand scanner.

USB devices  Windows Millennium Edition may put your devices into 'Other device' category without prompting you for a driver.  For example when you plug a USB scanner it may not prompt you to install the drivers.

If every thing is done then your device should be working fine.
