Selecting the best motherboard for you.
- It is almost the end of the socket 775. It has been there for a long time. From the time
of Pentium 4, to Pentium D and then to the new Core 2 Duo and the Core 2 Quad and the
Pentium Dual core E series. But by the end of this year (2008) you will see a new socket
coming from the Intel camp. Do not expect the new motherboard or the computer systems
based on this motherboard to be available at cheap prices. The socket 775 based
motherboards and computer systems will be still great value for the next 6 to 12 months.
But one word of caution is do not go for expensive motherboard costing more than $ 100 -
$150. On the other hand do not go for computers with more than $1000 price tag on the box
only component. Read more about the up-coming processor at http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20080624PD208.html
