Simply add your hard drive and DVD Writer / CD  ROM   (You may need to do a repair installation of Windows after the upgrade. We recommend doing a fresh installation as to get the best performance)

  • Gigabyte GA-G41 series motherboard or similar ASUS   motherboard with PCI Express 16  slot  as well as onboard video.Gives the ability to improve the video performance in future as need comes.  G41 series motherboard gives you the future upgrade capability up to 8Gig and also better video than the previous G31 chipset.

  • Quality 4 Gig  (4098 meg) DDR II memory

  • Also included in the package is a new case with 450w power supply.
    If you are planning to use a video card with this computer upgrade pack you need to request an upgrade to the power supply.  Power supply need for the computer will be mainly depend on the video card brand and model.

  • 6 / 8 USB2.0 ports, (4 at the back and 2 at front of case)
    and 2 more can be connected to the motherboard with extra cable.

  • Traditional IDE port for DVD / CD type drives or hard disks
    and SATA connections for new and faster hard drives,*

  • High definition Onboard sound.

  • 2- 3 PCI slots for extra cards, and 2 memory slots for future upgradability.

  • Plenty of space for extra CD / DVD drive or Hard drive.

  • Front look of the case may differ slightly. Range of case options can be offered.

  • Note : The graphics card, sound card and Network card is integrated on the motherboard
    and the Graphics subsystem will use some of the system memory to provide graphics memory.
    If you install a graphics card the total amount of memory will be free for the system.
  • If you plan to use it for more demanding type games, it is better to ask for a graphics card.
  • It may be necessary and recommended to reinstall Windows after you connect the hard drive.  It is unlikely you will loose any data or settings, but doing a backup before proceeding with the upgrade is strongly recommended.

  • Your hard drive and other Drives like CD ROM or CD Writer or DVD writer in good working order.
  • Your monitor, keyboard, mouse and other external devices in good working order.
  • Your operating system. (Windows XP/  2000 or other ) May not support Windows 98.
  • If you are not sure about the above things, you may add them from our shop / shopping cart.
  • * You may need to upgrade the power supply depending on the extra accessories used. Upgrade to 450W p/s is $20, 500W p/s $30.
    If using a DVD Burner or a graphics card at least 450w power supply is recommended. If using both DVD burner and a Graphics card 500W power supply is recommended.
